Visitation will begin at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon Oct. 1, 2013 at Baca's Funeral Chapel where a rosary will begin at 6 o'clock led by Nena Barraza. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church at 11 o'clock Wednesday Oct. 2, 2013 with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Ronald Machado, Pastor will officiate.
Adan was born January 19, 1948 to Carolina Carbajal and Miguel Cuevas in Janos, Chihuahua, Mexico. He came to Deming in 1972 from Mexico and locally was employed in the local farming industry. He was a communicant of the Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margarita Cuevas of the home; sons, Miguel & Bernardo Cuevas of Deming; daughters, Mayra Cuevas & Iram Vela of Deming and Bernarda Cuevas of San Manuel, AZ; brother, Concepcion Cuevas of Deming; sisters, Eva Carbajal of Juarez, Mexico, Romelia Sanchez & Dora Rosales of Grants, Rosa Sanchez & Armida Perez of Deming, and Andrea Armendariz of Roswell; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by 1 son, Adan Cuevas, Jr. in 2009.
Pall bearers will be Miguel Cuevas, Adrian Sanchez, Antonio Armendariz, Irau Vela, Daniel Vega, Erick Vega, Oscar Vega and Daniel Vela
