DAVIDSON, Lois (Balliett) 82, of Osseo died Thursday at home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at United Church of Christ in Osseo, with burial at a later date in Osseo Cemetery.

Friends may call an hour before services at the church.

Lois Balliett Davidson, 82, of 13600 10th St., Osseo, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, in the loving care of her family and Northwest Hospice.

Lois Geneva, daughter of Leonard and Opal (Pell) Gilbert, was born October 25, 1922, in Osseo. She was a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ in Osseo, attended Osseo schools and graduated from Osseo High School in 1940. She attended the School of Cosmetology in Milwaukee, later transferring to the school in Eau Claire, where she went on to graduate. Her first job was at Rhea’s Hair Salon in Osseo. She was united in marriage to Earl Balliett on June 1, 1942, in Vancouver, Washington. During Earl’s service enlistment the couple was stationed in Washington, Wyoming and California. While in Wyoming, Lois worked as a barber on the Casper Air Force Base. After Earl was discharged they moved to Augusta, where she worked for Clara Seminski and Leo Wilkom in their beauty shop. In 1952, Earl and Lois moved north of Osseo. After her husband’s passing on March 8, 1972, she married Rudolph Davidson on Dec. 23, 1973. The couple continued to live in Osseo. Rudolph passed away on Nov. 2, 1996.

Through the years Lois had been active with the Eastern Star, the Osseo Legion Auxiliary, the Augusta VFW Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors and Daughters of the American Revolution. She also worked as an agent for the Royal Neighbors of America Insurance Company.

She is survived by her son, Earl Balliett of Osseo; daughter, Ann and Jon Soiney of Osseo; brother Leonard and Ramona Gilbert of Hermiston, Ore.; two sisters-in-law, Eva Petska of Tomah, Georgiana Balliett of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Shelly and Terry Rue, Daniel Soiney, Mike and Kristi Balliett, Scott Balliett, Valerie Balliett; five great- grandchildren, Samantha Balliett, Alexis and Logan Balliett, Daniel and Hailey Rue.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Gilbert.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 26, 2005, at 2 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Osseo, with Pastor Sheri Randolph officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Osseo Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services Monday at the church. Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
