Ralph served in the U.S. Coast Guard overseas during World War II. He was employed as a telegrapher for the Great Northern Railroad for a number of years. In California he was a battery manufacturer for Battery Systems Inc. until his retirement.

Survived By:
Three sisters, Edna Horne, Blanche (Allen) Erickson and Grace Dugan; seven nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews
