Robert "Bob" Gray, passed peacefully from this world surrounded by his loving family on September 27, 2013.

Bob was born on September 11, 1944 to Charles and Netta Gray of Essex, Missouri. Bob graduated from Abernathy High School in 1963 and also graduated from Paris Junior College, Paris, Texas and worked 35 years in retail.

Bob's life was full of hobbies and interests. He was a member of his local Chamber of Commerce, involved in Junior Achievement and was always an active member of his church. Bob served in the US Army as a medic. His greatest passion was his love of music.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Netta and Charles Gray and is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sandra Lee-Gray of Houston, Texas, sister Helen (Jim) Kendrick of Amarillo, Texas, sister, Carol (Earl) Routh of Abernathy, Texas, brother, Charles (Renate) Gray of Jersey Village, Texas, children, Robert Brian Gray of Amarillo, Texas, Melinda Gray (John) Lobaugh of Schererville, Indiana, Pamela Gray Thompson of Greenwood, South Carolina; six grandchildren, mother in law, Juanita Lee and brother in law, Tom Lee.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bob's life will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church, 6035 S. Fry Road, Katy, Texas 77450, with a reception to follow. The family will gather for a private burial prior to the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Joy of Heartbeats Never Ending (J.O.H.N.) Ministry at Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church.
