Willis O. Gardner, 93 of Bangor, Pa died Thursday, July 17th, 2008, at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab Center, Washington Township, Pa. Born: On June 20, 1915,in Easton, Pa, Willis is a son of the late Willis A. and Bertha Haas Gardner. Personal: His wife, the former Katherine Zonce, died in 2001. He was employed asvice president of First National Bank of Bangor in Bangor, Pa. He also worked as an agent for Nazareth Mutual Insurance Company. Willis was a graduate of Easton High School Class of 1933. Willis also served in the Army duringWorld War II. Memberships: Willis was a member of Flicksville United Church of Christ, Bangor, Pa, where he was a member of the Golden Sunshiners Senior Citizens Group. He was a life member of the Bangor Elks Lodge, a member ofPortland Lodge #311 F & AM, and a former president and member of the Bangor Exchange Club. Survivors: Willis is survived by a daughter; Bronwin Bartosh of Lugoff, SC; a half sister, Muriel Strawn of Easton, Pa; a step-sister, Emma Beatty of Moorestown, Pa; his companion, Elizabeth Smith of Asbury, NJ; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren. One daughter, Patricia Febbo; one brother Joseph Gardner, and two sisters, Gladys Gardner and Helen Everett, all died earlier.

Burial in St. Elizabeth's Catholic Cemetery Plainfield Township, Pa.
