Mrs. Rose Luse of Wilber passed to her just and eternal reward on July 26, 1940 having attained the age of 74 years, 3 months, and 15 days.
When a girl of eight, she, with her mother and two sisters, immigrated to the promising shores of the U.S. in 1874. They resided in the east until about 1880 when they came directly to Saline County. They made their home in Wilber and such was the place of her abode until the time of her death.
Funeral services were held from the Havel and Houser Funeral Chapel, Sunday, July 28, 1940 at 2 p.m. with W.J. Borecky officiating. Milo Chaloupka assisted by Mrs. V.M. Spirk sang. Interment was in the Bohemian National Cemetery.
