Born on September 27th, 1878, in Virginia City, Montana, Mr. Taylor came to Alberta in 1901 with his parents. He settled west of Cardston and later moved to Fort MacLeod where he took up homesteading in 1908. He married Lydia Ethel Dick in Ogden, Utah on February 3rd, 1913.
Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his loss one daughter, Mrs. Rose Stringer of Sundre; one son, Hiram of Didsbury; one step son, W.J. Dick, of Didsbury; one step daughter, Mrs. Etta Waterstreet of Cremona; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Burrow of Fort MacLeod and Mrs. Rose Bell of Reno; two grandsons, 10 step grandchildren and 24 step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one step son, Joe Dick, on April 29, 1963.
