Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Mary Bourget, 81, of 9712 10th Ave S.W. will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow in Yarington’s, White Center Funeral Home , with burial in Forest Lawn.
Mrs. Bourget died in a hospital Friday after an illness of six years.
Mrs. Bourget, born in France, came to the United States when she was 18 years old, and to Seattle two years before the fire of 1889.
Her husband Charles *(George) who died in 1932 *(1936), opened the first shoe store in White Center in 1931. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ida Kruse, Mrs. Stella Nicklason, Mrs. Josephine Hamrick, all of Seattle; Mrs. Alma McDonald, Everett; and Mrs. Evelyn Erhart, Long Beach, CA; a son, Alphonso Pregent, Seattle; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
