Earl James Brasfield, a native of Mobile, Al, departed this life on September 24, 2013.
He retired from the United States Marine Corp in 1976 as an E7. He also worked at Teledyne Continental Motors as an Aeronautical Engineer and retired after 22 years.
Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Elizabeth Allen.
He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Carolyn Brasfield; two children, Antonio and Karen Brasfield; one grandchild, Kynadi ; two brothers, Alvin (Carolyn) Brasfield, Fred (Jacqueline) Allen; two sisters, Patricia Martin and Phyllis (Myron) Collins; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at 12noon at Small's Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Alabama State Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL.
