Born Jan. 24, 1923, in Lawrence County to Thomas Jefferson Chenault and Gertrude Stephenson Chenault. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Chenault, Kyle Chenault, and Connie Chenault.
Survivors include his wife Becky Chenault; daughter, Patsy Bartlett Haeggquist of Hartselle; two granddaughters, Melanie Marsh of Atlanta, and Kelly Brown of Hartselle; one grandson, Joshua Bartlett of Auburn; one great-granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Brown of Hartselle; brother, Ruel Chenault of Speake; and three sisters, Mabel Johnson of Decatur, and Christine Smith and Neicie Teague, both of Hartselle.
