She was born in Scott township, January 24, 1878, daughter of Joseph (Josiah) and Sarah Elizabeth Kerr Heckathorn. She was a member of the Neshannock U.P. church, Liberty grange and WCTU. Three children preceded her in death.
In addition to her husband Perry, she leaves brothers and sisters; John Heckathorn of Levittsburg, Scott, Joseph and William Heckathorn of Lawrence county; Mrs. Elizabeth White, New Castle, and Mrs. Pearl Nelson, Neshannock township.
Interment in Herman cemetery. Her obituary appeared in the New Castle News on November 30, 1944.
