Born on September 12, 1913, he was the son of Edith Pettit Boric and Adolphe E. Boric.
Mr. Boric was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Yale in 1935, where he majored in government, and a 1938 graduate of Columbia Law School. During World War 11, he served as Communications Officer with VB-107 (Patrol Bombers) in Brazil and the Pacific, entering the service in February 1942, and being discharged as a Lieutenant Commander in December 1945.
After practicing law as a partner with the New York firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, he joined the legal department of Pepsi Cola in 1951, and was named a vice president, retiring in 1971.
Mr. Boric served on the Board of Trustees of the Nightingale-Bamford School and on the Board of Interfaith Neighbors in New York City. In 1990 he moved to Philadelphia.
His first wife, Bettina Rhett Boric, died in 1960; his second wife, Mary Lakin Hoffman Boric, died in 1994; and his daughter, Ellen Douglas Boric, died in 1972. He is survived by his daughter, Edith Boric; three stepdaughters, Valeric Takai, Molly Hoffman Mazzone, and Helen Davies; and two grandchildren.
