BROWDER - Junnie "Jimmie" L. Hawkins Arnold, 94, of Browder, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Arnold was born April 10, 1919 in Muhlenberg County. She was the former owner of Hawkins Grocery in Browder, and was a member of Beechmont Missionary Baptist Church. She was a part of the Fun Over 40 Club, a great cook, loved taking care of her home and beautiful flowers, and enjoyed visits from her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Arnold; sons James Hawkins Jr. and Charles Ray Hawkins; and grandchildren Carolyn Jean Cottrell and Kenneth Floyd Cottrell.
Survivors include her daughter, Velma Cottrell of Browder; grandchildren Rick (Maria) Cottrell, Larry Cottrell, Randy (Becky) Hawkins, Will Hawkins, Jim (Tina) Hawkins, Tommy (Shirley) Hawkins, and Melinda (James) Clardy; 24 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 3:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Hines officiating. Burial in Forest Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
