ALVIN COY CARR
Funeral services for Mr. Alvin Coy Carr, 87, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Ovle Tinch, Bro. Jerry Harris, and Bro. Dwain Whittaker officiating.

Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Carr died Saturday, Aug. 6 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was a retired foreman with Eaton Manufacturing Corporation, a United States Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Highland Freewill Baptist Church, the Square Dance Club, and the Franklin Mint Association.

Born December 15, 1917, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Shirley and Earnel (Gore) Carr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Myra Carr; a son, Robert Carr; a brother, Clayton Carr; and 2 infant brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Nina Carr of Livingston; a daughter, Judy A. McCaw of Konawa, OK; a brother, Thomas Carr of Murfreesboro; a sister, Connie Allred of Murfreesboro; 5 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Gene Inmon, Jeff Lewis, Billy Hood, Carlos Carr, Ngoc Carr, and Floyd Vaughn.
