Marie Lynch Beene
SAN ANGELO Marie Lynch Beene, age 90, walked into heaven to be eternally with her God on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013. Marie was born Sept. 26, 1922, in Blooming Grove, Texas, to Charlie Parham Lynch and Mamie Lee Hix Lynch. She was married on Aug. 28, 1943, to Johnnie Morris Beene Sr., who preceded her to heaven in 1981. We, her family, praise God our Father for her godly example as a woman who accepted Jesus Christ and walked closely with Him by the power of His Holy Spirit. Marie faithfully served at First Baptist Church of Blooming Grove, Texas, Walnut Street Baptist Church of Hillsboro, Texas, First Baptist Church of Fort Stockton, Texas, and First Baptist Church of San Angelo, Texas. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. Daily serving God gave her the strength to be a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Thank you God, what a blessing she has been to us. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Morris Beene Sr.; parents C.P. and Mamie Lynch; brothers Cecil, Melvin, William Lynch; and sister Lovene Lynch Bryant. Survivors include her sister, Billie Joyce Lynch Rawson, and husband Troy of California; brother-in-law Boyd Bryant of Blooming Grove, Texas; sister-in-law Mollie Beene Bratcher of Waxahachie, Texas; brother-in-law Kenneth Harris of Vidor, Texas; sister-in-law Brenda Beene of Carlsbad, N.M.; daughter Janice Louck of Arlington, Texas; Martha and husband Tom Dufresne of San Angelo, Texas; daughter Vicki and husband Clark Powers of Eagle Lake, Texas; son Johnnie Morris and wife Kendra Beene of Greenville, Texas; grandchildren Annette and Allen Speck of Arlington, Texas, Christy and Clint Lannom of Midland, Texas, Alicia and John Music of Katy, Texas, Kimberly and Mike Wilkens of Gibbon, Neb., Timothy and Elizabeth Powers of College Station, Texas, Andrew and Robyn Powers of Columbus, Miss., John and Tasha Beene of Thompson Station, Tenn., and Adam and Laura Beene of Greenville; great-grandchildren Nathan Speck, James, Maggie, Joshua, Jonathan and Merea Lannom, Hannah and Joseph Music, Allison, Lindsay, Jamie and Harvest Marie Wilkens, Harris, Caroline, Camille and Hunter Powers, Piper Powers, Berkley Claire, Carter and Baby Beene and Hudson Beene; many precious, loved nieces and nephews; and God-sent caregivers, Rosie, Bert, Rosa, Becky, Ceilia and Maria. In lieu of flowers, Marie requests that donations be made to any of the following mission projects she supported: Gospel Vision, memo: South American Missions, 2025 W. Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo. Celebration of life service is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at First Baptist Church of San Angelo. Burial will be at 4 p.m Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, in East Hill Cemetery, Fort Stockton, Texas.
