HONEY GROVE - Thomas Paschal, 69, life time resident of Honey Grove, Texas, went to his heavenly reward Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.
Services for Thomas will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove. Rev. Jerry Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jan Cummins, Jeff Clark, Johnnie Smith, Evan Harris, Steve Harris and Jerry Bell. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Thomas Ray Paschal was born Oct. 9, 1943 in Honey Grove to parents James Harrison Paschal and Lela Velma Cunningham Paschal. Thomas was a faithful longtime member of First Baptist Church of Honey Grove and could be found at the entrance of the sanctuary to greet you every Sunday morning.
After graduating from Honey Grove High School he was employed by Mr. Johnnie Smith at Smith Feed & Seed Store and had worked there up until his illness. He was an avid Honey Grove High School sports fan.
Mr. Paschal was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry who passed away Oct. 12, 1991.
Thomas is survived by his sister in law, Virginia Paschal of Honey Grove; nieces, Cindy Harris and husband, Steve of Achille, Okla., and Suzanne Seal and husband, Lock of Corpus Christi; and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
