John H. Evans Jr., 61, of 3916 Holts Chapel Road died Sunday at his home.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Guilford Memorial Park.
A native of Guilford County, he was a member of Gate City Masonic Lodge 694, a Shriner, and a disabled veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Peggy McDonald Evans; son, John H. Evans III of Asheboro; daughters, Mrs. Tanya Evans FitzGerald of Greensboro, Miss Tammye Lee Evans of Los Amidos, Calif.; mother, Mrs. Jessie Evans Jones of Sanford; sisters, Mrs. Edith Lamb of Asheboro, Mrs. Clara Fowler of Beaumont, Calif.; brother, Charlie Jones of Asheboro; two grandchildren.
