Obit: Mildred F. Hampton, 84 passed away Wednesday February 27, 2013 at Boone Hospital. Visitation will be from 3-5:00pm Sunday March 3, 2013 at Little Bonne Femme Baptist Church, 5350 E. Bonne Femme Church Road. Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday March 4, 2013 at the Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mildred was born September 10, 1928 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Frank and Martha Bloomquist. She lived most of her life in Boone County. She worked for Shelter Insurance for 33 years retiring as a Sr. Underwriter in 1993. Mildred was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia and enjoyed traveling, the Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals, but her greatest love was spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by husband, Robert Hampton; son, Terry Hampton; four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Cook and husband, Dale of Glendale, Arizona, Annette Sells and husband, Wayne of Columbia, Paulette Thurston and husband, Charlie of Harrisburg, Missouri, Karen Knipp and husband Joe,and Elaine Baumgartner and husband, Alan all of Auxvaase, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Marcia Hampton of Des Moines, Iowa; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
