Joseph Henderson Husband
April 5, 1885 – March 2, 1943

Joseph Henderson Husband, son of Christopher and Martha Husband, was born at Harvel, Ill, on April 5, 1885. He passed away after a short illness at Battle Creek, LA on March 2, 1943 at the age of 57 years, 10 months, and 25 days. He came to this country when he was a small boy with his parents and grew to manhood and spent most of his life here.

In 1909 he was united in marriage to Lottie B. Arendt and to this union three children were born, Mrs. Esther Barber and Roy husband of Beatrice, and Clifford Husband, who is in the army overseas.
August 12, 1934, he accepted Jesus Christ as lord and savior and identified himself with the First Christian Church of this city. He has continued his membership since that time. Mr. Husband was always a good, and willing worker, a man of an ambitious character.

He is survived by his wife and three children, one grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. Dick Williams of Beatrice, and Mrs. Gordon Scott of South Dakota, and other relatives and friends.

His loved ones prepared the following words concerning his life:
"Our dear husband and father, Has gone to rest, Leaving behind those who loved him best. As for work none could compare He was always ready to do more then his share. Now in heaven to wait: He will meet his master at the gate; He will be missed by all who knew him here; But his memory will linger for many a year"

Friday afternoon at 2:30 at Harman-Johnson funeral home, conducted by Rev. Wayne Greene and burial was made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
