Christopher Columbus Husband was born near Rolla, Missouri on March 27, 1860 and departed his life December 26, 1937 at the home of his daughter Mrs. Dick Williams South East of Pickrell, Nebraska at the edge of 77 years, 8 months, 29 days. He was united in marriage to Martha Miles in 1881.

To this union were born seven children. His wife and four children preceded in death. He leaves to mourn his departure, Joe Husband of Beatrice, Nebraska, two daughters, Mrs. Dick Williams, Beatrice, Nebraska, Mrs. Gordon Scott, Wessington Springs, one sister, Mrs. Mary Van Sandt of Cuba, Missouri, a number of grand children and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Husband was a willing worker, always ready to help where he could do good. He always took an interest in his work and had made friends throughout his life. In 1915 he confessed faith in his lord and united with the United Brethren Church at Pickell, Nebraska. He was Pennslyvania Dutch. He worked for Dempster Windmill Company and then worked for Zimmermans and the Court House.
