He lived 56 years, 9 months and 10 days.

Kenneth J. Grendzinski of St. Cloud, Fla., recently passed away peacefully at his home, as was his wish, after losing a 19 month battle with cancer.

Ken was born in Chicago, Ill., on Nov. 27, 1956 to parents Ruth and Leonard Grendzinski. Ken is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon Grendzinski; two sons, Daniel and Matthew; a granddaughter, Mariah of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a sister, Arlene Grendzinski. He is preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Bob" Fournier. Ken is dearly loved and remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives, as well as many friends located throughout the country.

Ken worked for 18 years at American Spring & Wire Company in Chicago. After moving to Florida, he worked for over 21 years at Publix Grocery at numerous locations in the St. Cloud area. He was known at Publix for giving exceptional customer service as well as establishing a wide network of lifelong friends. Ken enjoyed attending his sons' basketball games, where both sons excelled in the sport. He also enjoyed fishing on area lakes, and having barbecues while entertaining his family and friends with stories of growing up in Chicago, and the fish "that got away." Ken was a skilled charcoal artist, and enjoyed creating charcoal drawings for a hobby and his wife's enjoyment. He had a passion for reading mystery novels and could often be found at the kitchen table reading the latest book into the early morning hours.

A few of Ken's greatest and proudest life-changing events include his marriage to wife Sharon; the birth of his sons, Daniel and Matthew; the birth of his granddaughter, Mariah; the marriage of his goddaughter, Jamie Williams; and the birth of his great-niece, Kyleigh Grace Franks.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. with a service at 3 p.m., followed by a reception on Saturday, Sep. 14th, at Fisk Funeral Home. Arrangements under the direction of Fisk Funeral Home, 1107 Massachusetts Ave., Saint Cloud, Fla.
