Windola Lanell "Nell" Bozeman Russell, 85, of Waco, Texas went home to be the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Services will be at 11 a.m., September 27, with visitation at 10:00 a.m., at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow immediately in Oakwood Cemetery. A reception will be held in her honor at Comfort Suites, 2700 LaSalle Ave, following the graveside services.
Windola Russell was born in Texas City, Texas, to the late William and Muzetta Bozeman. She married Lewis Henry Russell and they had three children, Lewis Clay Russell, Lonnie Russell, and Kandye Sparkman. As a young woman she worked as a substitute teacher and in her later years, she was a child care provider and a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, going to garage sales, and traveling with her siblings.
She was preceded in death by husband, Lewis Russell; brothers, Lester Bozeman, Larston Bozeman, and Normie Dean Bozeman; sisters, Charlie Bozeman and Lanette Dockery; and grandchildren, Brandon Wiese and Brandolyn Russell.
Survivors include her sons, Lewis Clay Russell and Lonnie Russell; daughter, Kandye Sparkman; grandchildren, Jason Russell, Cody Russell, Phelicia Russell, Pharen Russell, Ashely Russell, Lewis James Russell, Rachel Russell, Kaidynce Russell, Brittny Wiese, Bobby Wiese, Colton Wiese, Ashley Sparkman, Amber Sparkman and Dustin Sparkman; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Delmer Bozeman, Troy Bozeman, Terry Bozeman, George Bozeman, Billy Bozeman and Dale Bozeman; many other relatives; numerous friends, and best friend, Cheryl Young.
