Services will be held Thursday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Poole officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, IN.
She was born on July 24, 1917 in Michigan City to Lawrence and Wilhemina (Prelwitz) Schumaker, both of whom preceded her in death.
On December 25, 1943, she married Harlow R. Juckett. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1992.
Surviving are her son Thomas L. (Nancy) Juckett, Michigan City, grandson Adam F. (Lisa) Juckett, great-grandson Adam T. Juckett, of LaPorte, brother Dr. Norman (Regine) Schumaker, Austin, TX, nieces Pat (Frank) Smith, Cathy (Donald) Shaffer, and Marcia Owens, all of Michigan City, nephews Philip Schumaker of Austin, TX and Matthew (Jessica) Schumaker of London, England, great-nephew Brian (Melissa) Shaffer and 3 great-nieces, Shay (Robert) Heddens, Michigan City, Heather Zimpfer, South Bend, IN, and Hilary Rineheart, Charlotte, NC, 3 great-great nephews and 1 great-great niece, all of Michigan City.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Theodora (Max) Taylor, 3 brothers, Frederick (Harriet) Schumaker, Donald and Alvin Schumaker, all of Michigan City, and a great-nephew, Zachary Rineheart, Charlotte, NC.
Adaline worked 40 years for the S.S. Kresge Co., now known as K-Mart.
Adaline was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a past member of the St. Paul counting team and a member of the Miriam Circle and other various church organizations.
She was a past volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Red Cross bloodmobiles, VFW auxiliary and United Way RSVP volunteers.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, or to the Share Foundation for the handicapped.
