Mr. Stroud was born to the union of George T. Stroud and Tennessee "Tennie" Eagles, who married on January 23, 1896. He was a WWII veteran and a member of the South Winnfield Baptist Church.
He was survived by his wife, Lela Stroud of Winnfield; three brothers, Eugene Stroud of Pineville, E. E. Stroud of Shreveport, and Louis Stroud of Arcadia; three sisters, Ethel Jarnagin and Betty Gilcrease, both of Winnfield, and Bessie Spillers of Shreveport.
