Leetonia - Richard W Firestone, 73, of 41548 Kelly Park Road died Thursday morning in Salem Community Hospital after being stricken at home.
He was born Nov 10, 1924 in Columbiana, son of David A and Sarah Werner Firestone, and lived in the area all his life.
He was a carpenter and farmer most of his life and was yard superintendent for Ply-Trim in Youngstown 15 years before retiring in 1990.
He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Columiana and Columiana County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Kozjan, whom he married May 29, 1956; two sons, Richard W. Jr of Austintown and David J of Leetonia; two sisters Mrs Ruth Holloway of Columbiana and Mrs Mary Gruber of Lisbon.
Services will be 11 am Monday in the church, with visitation starting at 10 a.m Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Sunday at Warrick Kummer FH.
