Father B. W. Shore who lived 7 miles northeast of town died Monday morning at
7:15 am. He was about 72 years old, an old soldier and pensioner. He had been a
member of the Masonic fraternity for over 40 years. The funeral sermon was
preached at the residence Tuesday by Rev. McNary. At 1:00 procession started for
the Thayer cemetery and were met at the corporative limits by the Thayer Masonic
Lodge, 40 strong, of which he was an honored and respected member, and conducted
from there to the graveyard where the body was laid in its final resting place
according to the ceremonies of the masonry.
