Iowa Deaths
Manchester -- Byron Borton, 46, local filing station operator, at St. Francis Hospital in Waterloo Saturday afternoon following an operation performed there 13 days previous; body was brought to the Platt Funeral Home here, from where funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. Robert Watson; burial at Strawberry Point; son of Arthur and Clara Smith Borton, born at Dubuque, Ia., Dec. 3, 1898; came to Manchester 24 years ago, and was married March 12, 1920 to Miss Nina Norris; was employed at a local greenhouse here and later operated the Shell service statin here; leaves widow, Manchester; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Eaton, Manchester; two brothers, Joseph, in the armed forces serving in India, and George, Edgewood; and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Reusch, Waterloo; and his parents, Edgewood.
