Jerry B. "Bubby" Byng Jr., 77, Abrams, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013. after a very long illness, at his home. Jerry was born June 20, 1936. in Oconto to the late Jerry and Ruth (Fye) Byng Sr. He married Carol Krause on May 17, 1958. Jerry was a devoted husband, father and son. He was honored to be a member of the Wisconsin National Guard serving in Company C of the 127th Infantry, 32nd Division. Jerry worked with his father in the family logging and sawmill business and in time became owner of the family business. During his life time Jerry also held a variety of other skilled positions.Jerry is survived by his wife, Carol Byng, Abrams; four daughters, Debbie (David) Rowell, Abrams; Vicky (Bennett) Skaletski, Ripon; Christine (Brian) Josephs, Abrams; Therese (Andrew) Stacy, River Falls; four sons, Jerry Brian Byng, Oshkosh; Randal (Lisa) Byng, Green Bay; Daniel Byng, De Pere; Steven Byng, Abrams; two sisters, Shirley Earley, Peshtigo; Carol Owens, Milwaukee; sister-in-law, Elaine Byng, AR; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alwyn and Kenneth Byng, and two brothers-in-law, Gilbert Earley and Ralph Owens. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery with Military Rites by Oconto American Legion Post #74.
