Mrs. Maude Causey Smith, 99, died 11:20 a.m. Friday, May 1, 1998, at her residence.
The graveside burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 1998 in Guilford Memorial Park with the Reverend Robert Voorhees officiating.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Greensboro, a homemaker and wife of Roy Delmere Smith, who preceded her in death in 1962.
She was always actively involved in her church, serving in many offices and areas through the years until declining health prevailed. Among many organizations she was a member of the Iris Garden Club, the Social Hour Club, China Painting Club and Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by daughters, Doris Smith of the home and Frances S. Schumacher of Hendersonville; grandson, Roy D. Schumacher; and one great-grandson.
