Chris Sprague McCoy, 58, of Glasford passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, succumbing to overwhelming injuries incurred six years prior on June 29, 2007.

Born on March 2, 1955, Chris was the son of William D. and Betty (Sprague) McCoy of Glasford, Ill.

His father preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 2000.

Chris is survived by his loving and devoted mother, with whom he made his home. Betty tirelessly stood at his bedside for years. Also surviving are his daughter, Savannah (Mike) Cheatham; son, Christian J. Sprague McCoy (fiancee, Ewelina); brother, Kevin (Cindie) McCoy; and sister, Kimberly (William) Harris.

Chris worked for several years as a serviceman for Sears. He also owned and operated his own appliance and repair business and last worked at Illini Bluffs School District.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, camping, and family gatherings. He raced stock cars in his 20s, nd owned a pet store.

Family graveside services will be held at a later date at Lancaster Cemetery.
