HARRY F. EDWARDS
ARCOLA — Harry Franklin Edwards, 77, of Arcola was found dead in his home at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 18, 1978) of an apparent heart attack.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, where friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery.
He was born April 15, 1901, in Edgewood, a son of Joseph and Anne Reese Edwards. He married Mayme DePoister in Clay County Sept. 5, 1922. She died in 1974.
Surviving are three sons, Charles and Lloyd, both of Arcola, and Bill of Mattoon; one daughter, Mrs. James (Phyllis) Shull of Rensselaer, Ind.; three brothers, Harold "Jack" of Arcola, Alfred "Buck" of Tuscola and Dewey of Edgewood; one sister, Mrs. Violet Murry of Edgewood, and 13 grandchildren.
Six brothers, three sisters and one grandson preceded him in death.
