Funeral services for J.D. Barber were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2001 in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Doughty officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories.
Mr. Barber age 84 of Goldonna, LA died Sunday, January 28, 2001 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. He was a retired sawyer.
Survivors are one son, Bill Barber of Goldonna; four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one sister, Ernie Ruth Walters of Douglasville, GA and one brother, Malcom Barber of Bossier City, LA.
Pallbearers were: Elliott Atkins, Jerry Johnson, Mark Smith, Cody Bray, Randy Parker and John Ray Barber.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Lane Johnson, Parker Atkins, Mary Atkins and Brittany Bray.
