JONESBORO -- Edna Cleo Palmer Hancock, 96, of Craighead County died Tuesday, June 14, at Craighead Nursing Center.

A long-time resident of Wynne, she was a homemaker who attended Vanndale High School. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 399 of Wynne, past matron of the Robert E. Stillman Chapter 550 of West Memphis and a member of the Amaranth of Jonesboro.

Survivors include one son, Gene Hancock of Jonesboro; one daughter, Myrtle Duncan of Wynne; six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Duane Hancock of Wynne; her parents, William Russell and Sarah Ellen Lewis Palmer; three brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne, with the Rev. Donnie Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Crosslawn Cemetery at Wynne.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Palmer, Joe Duncan, Allen Duncan, Scott Hancock, Terry Anderson Jr. and Scott Edwards.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
