MANCHESTER — Mrs. Frank Schmock, 76, resident of Honey Creek township, Delaware county, and Manchester, the greater part of her life, at her home here Friday after a long illness; funeral, 2:30 p. m. Sunday at the Shelly funeral home here; burial in Union cemetery five miles north of Manchester, near Thorpe; nee Elizabeth Barr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Barr, in Canada in 1866; came to Delaware county many years ago and was married to Frank Schmock of this city 40 years ago; farmed six miles north of Manchester for many years, and four years ago retired and bought a home in Manchester and lived here since: leaves husband, one step-son, Clarence Schmock, north of Manchester; one brother, Charles Barr, River Bank, Cal.; three stepdaughters, two brothers and two sisters died many years ago; was a member of Methodist church.
Note: Frank Schmock and Libbie Barr were married 19 Dec 1901 in Manchester.
According to cemetery records (which I have in my possession), "Libby Schmock" is buried North side, row 7, plot 15. Also noted with her name is "2nd wife." Rosa is on one side of Frank & Libby is on the other side. There is a "MOTHER" footstone in the spot which would seem to be Libby's.
