Funeral service for Billy Wayne Meherg, 69, will be Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Harold Meherg officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mr. Meherg died Friday, September 14, 2013 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He retired from Avondale Mills after some 25 years of service and was a member of Overbrook Assembly of God.

He was a full-time loving father and dad. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn Meherg; sons, Donnie Meherg, wife Tommie Sue, and Glenn Meherg, wife Janet, all of Sylacauga; mother, Leala Meherg of Hollins; and grandchildren, Daniel Meherg, Victoria Meherg and D.J. Culberson.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Coosa Valley Medical Center's second floor and TCU.

Pallbearers will be Levi Johnson, Brian Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Jimmy Crawford, Matt Holland and Kenny Rutledge.
