John is the 5th son of his parents. He is a descendant of Hon. William Fiske, born 1613 in England, who came to the USA in 1637. Hon. William Fiske was a descendant of Lord Symond Fiske, Lord of the Manor of Stradhaugh, Parish of Laxfield, County of Suffolk, England, who lived in the reign of Henry IV and VI, died in 1464.
John was killed when crossing some railroad tracks. The record puts it this way, saying that John was "accidentally killed by the cars 1860, in Northfield, Vt." Perhaps "1860" refers to a rail line, or a rail engine number.
