Allie Jane Allen Greer, age 83, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Community Care of Rutherford County. Born April 30, 1930, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, to Salem and Rachel Abner Laswell, she came to Wayne County at age 17 and lived the last 33 years in Tennessee. She was a 1948 graduate of Williamsburg High School. Allie worked for Miller's Cafeteria for over 20 years. She was a former member of Fairview Baptist Church. Allie enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved cooking and feeding as many people as she could. Allie enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and going fishing. She also loved her cats. Survivors include her children, Darrell (Madelynn) Allen of Syracuse, Indiana, Carol (Philip) Ross of Trotwood, Ohio, and Donald (Paula) Allen of Richmond; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Randolph Allen who died in 1974; her second husband, Clyde Greer; daughter, Diana Koger; parents; and five siblings. Visitation for Allie Jane Allen Greer will be from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
