Elna Ruth Dana, age 77, a resident of New Waverly, Texas passed away August 31, 2013. She was born June 22, 1936 in Romayor, Texas to parents Tifton C. Porter and Verna Mae Ashworth Porter. She graduated from Sam Houston University with a Masters degree in Elementary Education and retired from a teaching career that spanned 30 years.
Mrs. Dana was preceded in death by her sons James Richard and Don Robert Dana.
She was survived by her children Evelyn McWilliams and spouse Abe, Judy Kuta and spouse Leon, Verna Thompson and spouse Steve, and Dolph Dana and spouse Rebecca, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Interment at Oak Shade Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
