DEATH OF MRS. EDWIN AVERY
Mrs. Lizzie Avery, wife of Edwin Avery one of Sabetha's celebrated man whose home now is in Palacios, died Saturday morning at Palacios, Texas, after a long illness. The body was brought to Sabetha for interment Wednesday this week.

Mrs. Avery had lived in Sabetha many years prior to her going to Texas with her husband. They were married October 25, 1912, and left soon after for their future home at Palacios which it was believed would offer a suitable climate for Mrs. Avery.

Mrs. Avery was born in Noble County, Ohio, and was 72 years of age.

Besides her husband she leaves a brother and sisters as follows: Mrs. M. M. Keller and Mrs. Eva Fuller of Sabetha. Mrs. Ella Cole and Mrs. Delia Searl of Cedarsvale, Kansas, Mrs. Levina Cooper of Balko, Oklahoma and Andrew Fester. Stanton Avery of Sabetha a step-son.

Mrs. Avery had a large number of friends in Sabetha who regret learning of her death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. George Krebs conducted the service. Interment will be in the Sabetha cemetery.

Lizzie (Elizabeth S.) Fesler was born to Elijah Fesler (Memorial 24116808) and Mary Ann Colledge (Memorial 6107838). Lizzie first married S. F. Bates. I have no information on Mr. Bates.
