Mrs. Dehoney, age 82, of Treyton Oak Towers, died Tuesday October 23, 2007 under the care of the Hospice Inpatient unit.

She was born in Madisonville, KY, on January 22, 1925, one of four daughters born to Roy & Christian Bishop. After completing high school in Madisonville, Lealice, a violinist, received a music scholarship to attend Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, TN. It was in Nashville that she met Wayne Dehoney and on August 24, 1944, Lealice and Wayne were married. She later completed her BA at Union University, Jackson, TN.

She was a pastor's wife, mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother and co-founder of Dehoney Travel; a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church; Chapter "A" of PEO; trustee emeritus, Union University, Jackson, TN.; and president of KY Women's Missionary Union, from 1975-1978.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Wayne Dehoney; her daughters, Becky Richardson, Jackson, MS, and Kathy Evitts, Clarksville, IN; a son, Bill Dehoney, Ft. Myers, FL; her sisters, Frances Bishop, Madisonville, KY, Edith Hadson, Clarksville, TN, Ruth Hagerty, Gallatin, TN; her grandchildren, Mark Evitts, Morgan Richardson Kotlarczyk, Tonya Evitts Hillman, & Bradley Richardson; and her two great-grandchildren and one expected in January.
