He was born June 29, 1827 in Larue County, married 1st to Miss Mary Gardner, in Nov 1854, 8 children, 2 youngest: Mrs. Annie Marshall and Benjamin Sanford Washer, preceded him in death. Six survive: Mrs. Lizzie Arnett, Mrs. Sallie Huff, Mrs. Maggie Walters., Messers. John H., James C. and William G. Washer.
