Dies at 76;
Rites Friday
Mrs. A. N. Prince, 76, lifetime Taylor County resident, died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital after a several week illness.
Funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at North's Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Flamming, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
She was born Lula Mae Barker June 11, 1890 in Taylor County. The family moved into Abilene when she was a small girl. She finished her education her in Abilene.
She worked for the telephone company here before she married Fred T. Wood. He died in 1918. After his death, she worked for the Ed F. Hughes Co. until she married A. N. Prince, Sept. 14, 1921 in Abilene.
Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Barker. Mr. Barker was one of the first rural maill carriers here.
Prince has been associated with the Wooten properities for a number of years.
She was a member of the First Baptisit Church, the Woman's Bible Class, and was very active in church work until her first heart attack about two years ago.
Survivors are her husband, 402 Beech; two daughters, Mrs. B. H. Jefferies Jr. of 2849 S. 6th and Mrs. Clinton S. Williamson of 790 Ross; four grandchildren.
On son, Jimmy, died in 1939 and two great-grandchildren.
