LaVelle Howard Lloyd, 67, returned to his loving Father in Heaven May 2, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born August 4, 1933 in Riverton, Utah to Frederick Edward and Blanche Beckstead Lloyd. Married Patricia M. J. Deveraux April 16, 1952 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

He retired from U.S. West in 1998. Called to a work service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. High Priest in the Murray 19th Ward and served in many callings in the Church and in the Boy Scouts program. He loved fishing and hunting and the outdoors with family and friends and above all, life itself. He touched many lives and was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.

Survived by wife; sons, James (Kerralee), David (Diane), and Carl; daughters, Kathy (Richard) Jack, and Sherry; 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Merlyn (Donna), Norman (Dorthy), LeRoy (Evelyn).

Preceded in death by his parents and great-grandson, Joshua Steven Elliott.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where family and friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens
