Chester "Chip" L. Arnes, 80, of Barronett died Feb. 10 at Terraceview Living Center in Shell Lake.
Mr. Arnes was born Sept. 12, 1920 in Barronett to Barney and Sadie (Larson) Arnes. He was a WW II veteran and had lived in the Barronett area his entire life, where he farmed and was a rural mail carrier for over 30 years. Mr. Arnes married Frieda (Grover) Davis in Pine City, Minn., on Feb. 4, 1949.
He is survived by a stepson, Robert Davis of Cumberland; six step-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dolores Strubb of Mission Viejo, Calif.
Mr. Arnes' wife died Dec. 31, 1979.
