On April 18, 1945, in the service of his country, in Germany, PFC. ADAM J. AMEND, the beloved son of Lena (nee Arnold) and Louis Amend.

Body will lie in state at Connelly's Funeral Home, 418 Eastern Avenue, Essex. Requiem High Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.

PRIVATE FIRST CLASS ADAM J. AMEND had been a member of the Knights of Columbus.
