Mr. Griese was born December 27, 1905, at Lamberton Township to Mr. & Mrs. August Griese. He attended Lamberton High school and Chicago Electrician School. He then moved to Lamberton Township where he farmed until 1968. He then retired on the farm.
Clarence was a life time member of the Germantown United Methodist Church, a choir director and trustee. He was on the parsonage board and the Sunday School Treasurer. He served on the Township Board for twenty five years and on the Lamberton Farmers Elevator Board for twenty years. He is survived by his sister, Alyce, and four nephews, Maynard and Harold Olson, New Ulm; Richard Olson, Lamberton and Arden Olson, St. Peter. He was preceeded in death by his father, mother, three brothers and two sisters.
