About 1927, Seymour, Texas

According to her daughter Maxine, 19-year-old Thursa Tidwell rode her horse "everywhere," regarded Marion Johnson Jones' sister Grace Jones as her very best friend, was called "Rubber Foot" in basketball by her high school teammates because she scored so very often, and very much looked forward to her senior year in high school.
