SOUTH BEND - Alice L. Lesniewski, 88, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Alice was born March 27, 1925, in South Bend, to the late Adam and Helen (Gadacz) Koscielski.

Alice married Walter Lesniewski, who preceded her in death. Alice was also preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Stanley Koscielski; sisters, Jeanette Zakrzewski and Eleanor Koscielski; and sister-in-law, Josephine Lesniewski.

Survivors of Alice include her son, Michael (Cathleen) Lesniewski of Penfield, NY; sister, Elizabeth Griffin; sister-in-law, Alfreda (Raymond) Brousseau of Southbridge, MA; granddaughters, Lauren Lesniewski and Alana Lesniewski; and many nieces and nephews.

Alice graduated from St. Mary's College and the University of Notre Dame. She retired from the South Bend School Corporation where she was a teacher, counselor and administrator for many years; and was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association. Alice was a parishioner of St. Anthony De Padua Catholic Church, a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Society #793 and the Legion of Mary.
