Margaret Coln Orgain of Richmond died Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Retreat Hospital. She was the widow of Albert M. Orgain III who retired as agency vice president of the Life Insurance Company of Virginia. Mrs. Orgain was born in Chester, South Carolina, and attended Winthorp College. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and a member of the Ginter Park Woman's Club, the Women of St. Thomas, the Sunshine Circle of Sheltering Arms, and Zeta Tau Alpha. She is survived by her son, Albert M. Orgain IV and his wife, Jacquelyn N. Orgain; grandsons, Lieutenant Commander Albert M. Orgain V and his wife, Elizabeth S. Orgain, Frazer M. Orgain and his wife, Corbin A. Orgain; two great-grandsons, Peter Bland Orgain and John Stuart Orgain. She was predeceased by her daughter, Margaret Marodith Nichols. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where the family will receive friends Sunday, May 16 from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 17 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 3602 Hawthorne Ave. Burial will follow the service and will be in the family cemetery in Dinwiddie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.
