Donald Bergman formerly of Park Ridge

Donald H. Bergman died peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in his nursing Home. He was born on January 9, 1928 in Chicago, IL the son of Axel Henry "Hank" and Emelia Bergman.

Survivors: Wife, Judith of Elgin. Children: Sons, Steven, David (Catherine), Glenn (Consuelo) and Jeffrey (Patrice), and daughter Sandra (Les).

Grandchildren: Troy (Jacqueline), Bria, Erika, Evan, Johnny, Luke and Carly.

Great-grandchildren: Avery and Jackson.

Most of his relatives reside in Sweden. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, Don worked in the construction industry most of his career, was also a professional singer and sang on TV (Piano Pals), and at all his children's weddings. Don spent over 35 years coaching a variety of sports in Park Ridge, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Little Angels in Elgin (where Don's oldest son, Steven, is a resident).

A memorial will be held Saturday, June 15, at 3 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 404 N. Green St., McHenry.
